Women's Basketball defeats Gadsden State 71-47

Hanceville, AL — The Wallace State Community College women's basketball team secured a 71-47 victory at Gadsden State Community College on Dec. 7, 2023.

The Lady Lions showcased a balanced offensive performance on the court. Jaden Winfrey of Cullman led the scoring charge with 27 points, while Emariah Grant of Huntsville contributed 16 points. Nylaa Fuller of Huntsville displayed versatility with 11 points and 11 rebounds, securing a double-double for the team. Layla Etchison of Hoover and Kallie Tinker of Pisgah also made their mark, each connecting twice from beyond the arc.

On the defensive end, Wallace State applied relentless pressure, forcing turnovers and capitalizing on opportunities. With a total of 11 steals, the team disrupted Gadsden State's offensive rhythm throughout the game.
